Assistant Teaching Professor, Jazz and Hip Hop

Tina Yarborough Liggins a native of North Carolina received her BFA in Dance from UNC Greensboro and a MFA in Arts Administration from Virginia Tech. Currently, Mrs. Yarborough Liggins is an Adjunct Professor at NC A&T State University and Wake Forest University. She has taught at UNC Greensboro, Winston-Salem State University, Greensboro College and North Carolina School of the Arts. She has trained in the areas of Jazz, Modern, Liturgical and African dance.

In addition to teaching, Mrs. Yarborough Liggins is the founder of TLine Danz, a producing and performance organization based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Her past experiences include the position of Artistic Director and Choreographer for Otésha Creative Arts Ensemble and Co-Director and Instructor for Arts Evangelica Christian Arts School. Other professional experiences include dancing with Chuck Davis African American Dance Ensemble and John Gamble / Jan Van Dyke Modern Dance Company. She has choreographed such musicals as Cats, Grease, Beauty and the Beast, Sweet Charity and Sophisticated Ladies to name a few. Other areas of teaching and choreographing involve working with area dance teams, cheerleaders, dance studios, schools, churches and community centers.
