Upcoming Opportunities for WFU Students

There are three opportunities to get involved in the Department of Theatre & Dance coming up soon. All events are open to all WFU students.

New Faces Workshop

First up is the New Faces Workshop on Thursday, August 28 at 4:30 pm in the Ring Theatre. The workshop is created for students who are new to the department in mind. Students will meet faculty and other theatre students, play theatre games, learn warm-up techniques, and get audition tips. It’s a great way to find out how you can get involved in our program.

Theatre Auditions

Following the workshop, auditions will be held for two theatre productions: the faculty-directed Mainstage production Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery and the student-directed Anthony Aston Players production Orion.

Auditions will take place at the same time in the Scales Fine Arts Center on Thursday, August 28 at 6-9 pm or Saturday, August 30 at 10am-12pm. Callbacks will take place on August 31.

Dance Co Auditions

Auditions for the Dance Company will take place September 2-5 in the dance studio in the Scales Fine Arts Center. Each day will focus on a different technique, but students are welcome to audition every day.
